INLAND NAVIGATION
In 2050
Sustainability is a given for NPRC and is high on our clients’ agenda. Together with members and supply chain partners, NPRC seeks sustainable solutions in logistics. This goes beyond CSRD reporting obligations. It is also about optimising existing supply chain processes as well as deploying cleaner ships. Accordingly, we are working with our clients on tailor-made routes to a more future-proof and sustainable supply chain.
”'Nobian's ambition is to be climate neutral by 2040. The greening of transport plays an important part in this regard. We believe it is important to be able to contribute, together with our partners, to innovations aimed at achieving scalable solutions for green transport.'

THE GREEN WAVE
PHILOSOPHY
Making a difference together
NPRC has laid down its green ambitions in the Green Wave philosophy. We will realise this sustainable course together with clients, members and employees. On shore, on the water and in logistics. This includes ‘green vouchers’ for members to make sustainable investments in their vessels. In addition, we are accelerating the deployment of cleaner inland waterway vessels. NPRC is proud to have the first new-build hydrogen-powered vessel as part of our fleet.
”'In close cooperation between the client, employees of the cooperative, and the individual inland vessel operator, the goal is to gradually reduce NPRC's CO2 and nitrogen emissions by 20% by 2025 compared to 2022.'

”'At NPRC, sustainability is expressed in both word and deed. Where necessary, we facilitate our members in the greening of their vessels. We also want our offices to be climate-neutral by 2030.'
